Sneak Peek

We are so close!

Harrison -

Garfield -

Should we take a weekend off soon?

Dear Reader(s) -

I'm going to skip the intro and get to the good stuff.

I'm sure that most of you are wondering if we are only managing these few jobs that I blog about; "why no updates, are they really that busy?"

Here are a few other things keeping us busy -

Kitchens - (finished product)

Bathrooms - (unfinished product)

Commercial work -

Bidding -

Bidding -

Bidding -

We also just finished remodeling some bathrooms in an apartment complex but I forgot to take pictures. And all while running a business! Hopefully this buys me a little redemption for not posting in so long.

We also have Thanksgiving deadlines on three of our projects. So wish us luck and stay tuned for the final pictures of those projects.

Updates Coming

Hello everyone. I'm sorry for the extended delay in posting. We have been working around the clock (literally) to finish up some jobs. Meanwhile, we have begun other jobs and have bids coming out of our ears. I will make sure to take lots of pictures for you. Stay tuned!

Hi ho, Hi ho

The Highlands project has passed all inspections thus far and is really coming together. This project wins my vote for biggest improvement this year. Most of our projects are homes where the clients live in and have livable conditions.

But this one... was just a lonely house with a big dream
and no one living in it.

Well almost no one -

We have been working around the clock to keep up with all that is happening.

There's been important meetings -

Intricate drywall texture -

Chic new cabinetry -

Top secret projects -

That I snuck a peek at -

Exterior painting -

Intense roofing -

Bill (roofer) even showed me how
to make a "pair of pants" -

And of course, with all this work
comes a lot of trash -

Whew! I'm tired just thinking about all that work. Good thing there is always tomorrow.

"If only the fire place was hooked up."

I finally made it up to Edwards late last week and let me tell you - it was C to the O to the L to the D! There was no snow, but it was cold. The project is really coming along up there.

So far we have...

Poured the concrete pad -

Completed all of the framing -

Set the fireplace -

With custom mantle (beautifully crafted by Jason) -

Built staircase (again Jason) and refinished deck -

We also have completed all rough - HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire alarms. We will insulate Monday and begin drywall after that. I will go get more pictures when my fingers thaw out.

What a difference a day can make

Garfield is the front runner for the week. Everything is really coming together and it is turning out to be just perfect. We still have plenty of work to do but this is the point in the project when I reflect back on in three weeks and ask myself "what just happened?" Then I realize we have finished and will no longer be at Garfield. That part of my life is over, and I will feel a little bit of a void for a week or two. Then the next project will begin and at that point Garfield will merely be a trophy on the T2B mantle.

Big big shout out to Mr. Dow Jones. Thanks for keeping our economy going, it is much appreciated.

"Oh the Places You'll Go"

We just started a Project on Marion. And because we are moving at a million miles an hour, I wasn't able to get before pictures. So you will have to bare with me on this one and use your imagination of what we took out during demo. It looks like a typical construction site but the views are incomparable.

Side note - I'm heading to Edwards tomorrow. So I will make sure to take tons of pictures. You won't believe the progress up there!

Also, Garfield and Highlands are drywall and beyond. I  will post them this week as well.

Hasta Luego!

And the winning colors are...

So sorry dear friends, it has been way tooooo long since I have posted especially with pictures. The good news is that Harrison is painted and is beau-ti-ful.

But before we could start painting there was one one problem that we had to overcome... We needed to pick the colors.

We started with samples on the wall -

And some more samples on the wall -

And..... some more samples -

But luckily Mrs. Troutman came to save the day -

I felt a little bit like I was in an art gallery.

Tracy and company (paint) came through huge on this one -

They made Frank's perfection (drywall) look amaaazing -
